While building a skills-based job architecture isn’t for the faint of heart, there’s no doubt it’s the future of work. A skills-based approach to sourcing, talent acquisition, career pathing and more can unlock access to qualified candidates previously overlooked, ensure worker engagement and retention, and support diversity programs. Will women have more opportunities under this model? Our panelists will debate how supporting a skills-first model can provide a new definition of fairness that includes career advancement possibilities not previously apparent, pay equity for specific skills, and an objective assessment of talent. Emphasis will be placed on talent that’s often overlooked – frontline workers – as well as where to start your skills data and diversity journey.
