Uzair Qadeer is the CPO at the BBC, overseeing global human resources and driving the BBC’s people experience, cultural transformation, and organisational change through the people agenda.
Uzair has worked in a range of senior executive positions. As CPO at Carbon Health, Uzair built and oversaw a first-class HR function leading the company through a dynamic period of transformation. At Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Uzair served as Alexion’s first Chief Diversity Officer and member of the executive committee, and built a global function that elevated employee engagement, created an inclusive environment, and drove customer innovation through sophisticated diversity and inclusion insights.
Uzair has held numerous l leadership roles including at Deloitte’s Human Capital Consulting practice advising clients across various industries and geographies on a variety of human resources topics, and at Bristol Myers Squibb where he worked in various roles of increasing responsibilities both in the U.S. and Italy.
Uzair is an Honorary Visiting Fellow and Lecturer at the University of Cambridge, and a featured public speaker and thought leader on the topics of employee experience, purpose driven leadership and the future of HR. Uzair received his Master’s degree and Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees from Pennsylvania State University.
